Could we do more? Through consultation, families and parents have told us they want us to do more; they want the Tea Time Club and the Community Café to restart. Both these projects were great opportunities for our partners and our workers to engage with families in a informal non-judgemental environment. The BLC wants to provide healthy social meeting places for families
The number of families we can intensively support is five; the need is far greater.
Parents are requesting more support with behaviour, including one to one support, parenting, childcare, family activities and affordable activities.
Where do we operate? The majority of our work runs from the Burley Lodge Centre and the surrounding community, parks, leisure facilities, schools and the city centre. The BLC Advice service operates from 3 Children’s Centres, Fairfield Community Centre and All Hallows Church.
