In the meanwhile please contact Laura Davis our Playwork Coordinator, details listed below.

MOBILE PLAY PROJECT

The Play Sessions:

Kids United Mobile Play Project's is funded by Leeds City Council and part of Leeds Play Network. Sessions are facilitated by CRB checked qualified Playworkers who place the child at the centre of their practice. At each site there is a qualified first aider and first aid kit.

The session will encompass the 'three free's':

FREE of charge

FREE to play

FREE to come and go

This idea of freedom runs throughout our sessions, and the children decide what they want to do during session. The playworkers are there merely to facilitate play, rather than arrange it, meaning that the children get to use the equipment that they want to, and can do whatever they want to while in a safe environment.

The sessions offer a range of activities including sports, face painting, arts and crafts, amongst other things. The necessary equipment is provided by the Burley Lodge Centre.

Making a difference through play:

We believe that experiencing good quality play improves outcomes for both children and their families. Contributing to happy, healthy, successful children. Our sessions enable children to take risks in a safe environment and make decisions using their own initiatives and ideas.

This project is key to the development of community in the area, and is a great way for children to develop, and meet new people.
