Making a Difference Through Play

We are a play focused children's provision.

Kids United recognises that every child is unique and we welcome all children.

We believe that experiencing good quality play improves outcomes for both children and their families and contributes to happy, healthy, successful children, able to assess risk and make decisions and be active participants in their own lives.

What We Do

We facilitate play activities and additional support for children aged 5-13 years. We also offer additional support to local families who feel they need this. We run a weekly programme of after school groups and in school holidays we run playschemes and family trips.

We develop our activities and events based on what children and their families tell us they need and want or from their great ideas.

What Difference Do We Make

Parents tell us that taking part in activities with Kids United means that they have greater peace of mind knowing their children are playing safely, making new friends and that their children are enjoying themselves.

One parent of a boy with specific needs has said, ‘He loves coming to [the session] he wakes up and asks if it’s a Kids United day almost every day. He has been asked to leave every other group he’s tried to join, we finally feel like he can belong and is happy.’

Children have said ‘good times, happy times’ and ‘I have made lots of best friends’ when asked to describe what difference coming to Kids United activities has made to them.

You are very welcome to come in and see us, to join any of our groups and tell us about any ideas you have about activities you would like to do.
